We aim to have you Push your limits by pushing your mind, your body and your spirit. We also want you to know what you are getting yourself into so below are the details pertaining to all the adventure activities offered through Push to Explore.
The Activity levels mentioned are rated on a scale of 1-5, 1: easy, light hiking ability for 1-2 miles, 5: being able to hike up to 10 miles in one day while carrying up to 20 lbs of provisions.

canyoneering

Canyoneering is the sport of exploring a canyon through the following activities:

  • Hiking

  • Rappelling

  • Down-climbing/Scrambling

  • Swimming*

What ability level?

All! Canyoneering is an adventure for the avid explorer to the whole family. The following is what you are expected to do and bring on a canyoneering day trip:

  • To hike and/or scramble easy to moderate trails

  • To carry water, food and necessary equipment by personal means (Backpack)

Attire:

  • Closed toe footwear (Sneakers, hiking boots, approach shoes)

  • Layers (extra lightweight jacket, hat)

Personal Items:

  • Snacks

  • Water/Hydration

  • Backpack

  • Sunscreen

What is included on a guided trip?

  • Transportation

  • Knowledgeable guide

  • All technical equipment

    • Ropes, Rappel devices, helmets, harnesses

  • Lunch*

biking

What type of biking?

There are a number of different biking activities to experience. Through Push to Explore we offer the following biking styles to adventure through:

  • Mountain Biking

    • Riding desert single track trails: Beginner to advanced

  • E-biking

    • Riding Jeep roads and Scenic rides through Southern Utah backcountry

  • Road Cycling (or just cruising)

    • Riding on paved roads and paths, specifically through the Zion Main Canyon

  • Bike Packing

    • Exploring the backcountry from the saddle of a bike, for days at a time

What ability level?

Depending on your experience level, biking of any style can range from beginner to expert. The guided offerings through Push to Explore aim to challenge the novice rider while giving the more avid cyclist new terrain to experience. The following is what you are expected to do and bring on a biking day trip:

  • To be comfortable getting on and peddling a bike

  • To carry water, food and necessary equipment by personal means (Backpack)

Attire:

  • Closed toe footwear (Sneakers, hiking boots, approach shoes)

  • Layers (extra lightweight jacket, hat)

Items:

  • Snacks

  • Water/Hydration

  • Backpack

  • Sunscreen

What is included on a guided trip?

  • All riding equipment

    • Bike, Helmet, Pedals as requested

  • Lunch*

rock climging

What is Rock Climbing?

Rock climbing is the sport of climbing vertical rock walls with the use of ropes and specialized equipment. The goal is to reach the top of a formation, usually showing a pre-defined route.

What ability level?

Rock climbing is physically as well as mentally demanding and will often test a climber’s strength, endurance, agility and balance as well as mental control. This being said, any age and a range of physical abilities can enjoy the “test” a rock wall can give. We challenge you to give it a try. The following is what you are expected to do and bring on a rock climbing day trip:

  • To hike and/or scramble moderate trails

  • To be able to balance and hold ones own body against a vertical wall (support given as needed)

  • To carry water, food and necessary equipment by personal means (Backpack)

Attire:

  • Closed toe footwear (Sneakers, hiking boots, approach shoes)

  • Layers (extra lightweight jacket, hat)

Items:

  • Snacks

  • Water/Hydration

  • Backpack

  • Sunscreen

What is included on a guided trip?

  • Transportation

  • Knowledgeable guide

  • All technical equipment

    • Ropes, helmets, harnesses, Climbing specific equipment
